Your plant scans are private to your account unless you separately choose to share a photo or message in the Community.

01

What we collect

LeafLenz may collect your account information, plant photos, scan results, saved-garden and care activity, community posts and comments, accuracy feedback, support messages, subscription status and billing identifiers, and basic in-app usage events.

Your plant scans are private to your account unless you separately choose to post a photo or message in the Community.

02

How we use information

We use this information to provide plant identification and care features, maintain your garden history, operate the Community, improve product accuracy and reliability, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and understand which features are useful.

03

AI and service providers

Plant photos and related prompts may be processed by AI and infrastructure providers used to operate LeafLenz. Service providers process information on LeafLenz's behalf to provide hosting, storage, authentication, file handling, analytics, and AI features.

Subscription checkout and billing are processed by Polar. LeafLenz receives subscription status and customer or order identifiers needed to provide Pro access. Full payment-card details are handled by Polar and its payment providers rather than stored directly by LeafLenz.

For species identification, LeafLenz may send a plant photo to the Pl@ntNet recognition API. Pl@ntNet states that submitted photos are kept only temporarily during identification and are not stored in its image database; account and query metadata may be retained to manage quotas and statistics.

AI results are estimates and can be wrong. Do not use LeafLenz as the only basis for ingestion, poisoning, medical, veterinary, or urgent safety decisions.

04

Community content

Posts, comments, display names, and shared images are visible to signed-in LeafLenz members. Other members may report content or block its author. The LeafLenz owner may review reports and hide content that violates the Community Guidelines.

05

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to operate and improve LeafLenz, meet security needs, and address support or moderation issues.

You can delete individual scans, delete your private plant data, or request account deletion from Support. Community content can be deleted separately. Some limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes.

06

Your choices

You can correct scan names, edit care settings, delete scans, remove your own community posts and comments, manage blocked members, submit or edit scan feedback, and request deletion through the in-app Support page.

07

Children

LeafLenz is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, submit an account-deletion request through Support.

08

Security and changes

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as LeafLenz changes; the effective date at the top will be updated when we do.

Privacy by default

Scanning a plant does not automatically publish it to the LeafLenz Community.
